Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the combined medical service examination results 2022.

The result consists of roll no and name. The detailed result is enclosed in the notice below. The combined medical service examination was held on 17th July 2022. The candidature of these candidates is provisional, which is subject to their being found eligible in all respect as prescribed in the Notice of the Examination and the Rules of the Examination.

Rs 1000 crore pharma doctor nexus: Supreme Court takes cognizance, to decide on making UCPMP mandatory

The messy issue of pharma companies bribing doctors with various freebies, once again reached the corridors of the Supreme Court yesterday, when during the hearing of the Uniform Code of Pharmaceutical Marketing Practices (UCPMP) matter, allusion was made to the recent IT raid on makers of Dolo 650, and incriminating records that allegedly revealed a payment of Rs 1000 crore freebies to doctors by Micro Labs.

The Supreme Court Thursday was told by an NGO, that has filed a plea demanding to make UCPMP mandatory, that the Central Board of Direct taxes has accused the Pharma company manufacturing popular Dolo tablets, an anti-inflammatory, fever reducer drug, of distributing Rs 1000 crore freebies to doctors for prescribing a dosage of its 650 mg tablets.

The intervention by the National Human Rights Commission in a case of death of a pregnant woman due to “medical negligence” has resulted in the government of West Bengal paying Rs 3.75 lakh as monetary relief to her next of kin, officials said on Thursday.

The state’s medical council has been asked to take disciplinary action against the “negligent doctor” for the incident that took place at the Lalbagh Sub-Divisional Hospital, Murshidabad on February 8, 2020, it said in a statement.

Delhi registers 15 swine flu cases in as many days

Health officials with the Delhi government said on Friday that the national capital has reported over 15 cases of swine flu (H1N1) in the past fortnight.

Swine flu or H1N1 is a human respiratory infection caused by an influenza strain that initially started affecting pigs. The common symptoms are fever, sore throat, nasal congestion, headache, and muscular aches.
