Relief: Now NMC can stay State Medical Council disciplinary actions against doctors

In a decision that may bring relief to doctors across the country, The Ethics and Medical Registration Board (EMRB) of the National Medical Commission (NMC) can now put a stay on the penalty actions taken by the State Medical Councils against doctors.

This is going to bring a major relief to the medical professionals in the Country, who had earlier no choice but to serve disciplinary actions until the NMC Ethics Board could take a call regarding their plea.

Massive fire breaks out at hospital in MP

An unfortunate incident of massive fire has been reported at New Life Multispeciality Hospital in Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur, at least nine to ten people were reported to be killed in the incident.

Several fire tenders were rushed to the New Life Multispeciality Hospital which eventually managed to bring the blaze under control.

Many people including patients and hospital staff were inside the building when the fire had broken out.

NBE releases vacancies for Assistant Director Post

The National Board of Examinations (NBE) has announced vacancies for the post of Assistant Director (Medical) on a contract basis in this institute.

NBEMS was established by the Government of India in 1975 with the objective of improving the quality of medical science by setting high and uniform standards of modern medical postgraduate examinations on an all-India basis and using the existing official structure for capacity building. The Government of India established the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) in 1975 with the objective of improving the quality of the Medical Education by establishing high and uniform standards of postgraduate examinations in modern medicine on an all-India basis and utilizing existing infrastructure for capacity building.

UP: Govt to provide free treatment for 48 hours to every emergency care patient

With a commitment to safeguarding every life in Uttar Pradesh, the government, on the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is bringing about radical changes in the health facilities of the state.

In pursuit of the same, Rs 3000 crore will be spent by the government to provide free treatment for 48 hours to every person admitted to emergency care.

NMC gives permission for 150 MBBS seats at Haveri Institute of Medical Sciences

Fulfilling the long standing public demands, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has now given its approval for the Haveri Institute of Medical Sciences (HIMS) in Karnataka.

With the nod from the Apex Medical Body, the college will commence admissions in 150 medical seats from the academic years 2022-2023, adds TOI. NMC’s nod comes after it visited the colleges, and inspected the arrangements made by HIMS. The college has temporarily arranged for the classes at the government engineering college classrooms.
